Ministries: Do you have programs for adults?

Look here for those programs that FSA has to offer just for "grown-ups."

Feeling awkward about not knowing your Jezebel from your Jehosephat? Wonder where it says “blessed are the peacemakers” in the Bible? Want to join with others to prepare for the Sunday morning worship by reading the lectionary selections? Join a Bible Study! We aren’t experts in the Bible—rather seekers, trying to hear God’s voice for today in these ancient texts. Choose from Thursday Morning 10:00 am–11:30 am with Rev. Michelle Down or Sunday Morning 9:00 am–10:00 am with Jo Ann Silcox. Drop in, have a coffee and join the conversation!

You bet! The Bookclub, a very informal gathering of bibliophiles, select books to discuss based on spiritual values. Usually we choose more than one book, to provide selection for various reading tastes, often on a theme. Recent selections included the Indigenous People’s experience with the Residential School system; local novelists Alice Munroe, Joan Barfoot; learning more about Islam. We are so relaxed that we welcome you even if you haven’t read the book!

We meet every month except during the summer, usually on Monday evenings. Dates and the name of the next book(s) to be discussed can be found on the Billboard page.

Once a month on a Wednesay evening in the Chapel we show a film, eat some popcorn, and then think and talk about what we've seen in the context of what we stand for within the world of Christianity. Check the weekly announcements or the Billboard Page to find out the date of the next film and read ahead about the film on the church posters.
